Playonmac tree of savior keeps closing after launch screen Pc#
I have to admit DirectX was the last thing I thought this could be, considering many games and directX variants have been installed on this PC, while the other PC that suffered no issues was wiped clean not even a few weeks ago and also got the dsetup.dll not found error when launching the patcher, but did not receive the white screen bug. I tested it twice and am no longer experiencing the white screen issue, though the white screen does linger for an extended period (30 seconds~). Installing this (patcher was still running as I installed it), has led to a successful launch with no crash on white screen. Looking into this issue, I found that there is a DXSETUP.exe in the "steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010" directory. On the launcher prior to logging in with your username, click the button in the upper right that has the single down-arrow on it and choose Options - Under the repair tab, enable 'Reset game display settings' and click Ok - Resume logging in but when asked if you want to enable DirectX 10 or 11 graphics mode, choose 'No' as part of this test. POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Upon a fresh install, I noticed the "dsetup.dll not found" error message came up when I first ran the patcher.
If anyone has a suggestion that I have not tried I would really appreciate it, because I am reaching my wit's end. I have spent hours reading various threads across Reddit and the forums attempting to fix this issue. Pulling ToS files from the working computer and bringing them to the problem PCĬhanging the USER.xml resolution mode from 1 to 2, as well as changing the resolution to 1920x1080. Restarting my PC completely after every stepĭisabling my antivirus completely through the entire installation process and starting the game Verifying integrity (this ALWAYS says 4 files failed to validate, reinstalls them, changing nothing) Reinstalling, completely deleting the files in steamapps\common I do not alt+tab or even touch my mouse from the second I press start on steam to the moment the game crashes. The game will launch to a white screen and then close within 10 seconds.
ToS works fine on one, but on the other it closes itself when the patcher is finished. I have two computers with similar builds.
